How to Store Bread

Some simple guidelines for serving and storing little stream bread

YOU MAY NOTICE FROM time to time there may be a variation in the colour, flavour or texture of our breads. This is a normal reflection of seasonal change and the subtle differences in the natural processes involved. As in many hand-crafted products - no two loaves are exactly alike.
  • Store in a cool, dry place. Refrigerating will prolong shelf life, but some of the delicious flavour and texture is lost.
  • We put holes in our bags to allow the bread to breathe.

  • Our bread freezes very well - just use an additional freezer bag and seal tightly. Buy sliced bread if you plan to freeze it and wish to take only a few slices at a time.
  • For the best eating we recommend that you buy your bread unsliced as it helps maintain the original moisture content.
  • Our bread has a 7 day "best before" sticker. This date is calculated from the date of baking.
